It seems most of the newer games are point clickish style, Zelda I saw basicaly you just use the stylus? how does that work? and Ninja Gaiden DS? same thing with the stylus? Do those actually work pretty good? How are they compared to the d-pad buttons? Just want to know if I can appeal to this newish control scheme they're trying to implement.

thanks.

They work perfectly fine. You have a good reason to be worried, but don't be. Nintendo well implimented touch controls in Phantom Hourglass, and Ninja Gaiden (which I've played the demo, and it works fluidly and is fun) probably benefits from the touch control since controlling 3D games with a d-pad can be frustrating in some games.

With a solid library of games, why not get the DS? :) I definitely recommend it, especially if you're an RPG or strategy game lover. Next year has a lot of RPGs and strategy games coming out.

dont worry. you'll find that the stylus controls can be leaps and bounds better than the d pad on some games. controls should be the last thing you should worrry about with the DS. the DS is a great little system, but you'll sometimes wonder why some devs dont do more with it.

The DS has a few good reasons why I would sell my PSP for it.

DS lite is cheaper

Games are cheaper

Its more portable (sleek and smallerish)

its Nintendo.

I highly doubt you'll regret selling your PSP for a DS. After playing some of the amazing titles on the DS you'll wonder why you didn't own one earlier!

Well just decide what you want. I understand your dilemma because there are great games like Chains of Olympus, Crisis Core, and Secret Agent Clank coming out this year. The reason why I chose DS was because the PSP plays like a console and I'm planning on buying a PS3 late next year. I wanted something I could play on the El and between ****s.

So if you have a console that you are pleased with and you want a true handheld then I would suggest the DS. However the PSP can essentially be a console in and of itself.

The DS is a great system and so is the PSP it all depends on what gaming platforms you like the most. The Ds has a unique way to play games and the PSP has better graphics however, I still like the Ds better.

I have a PS3 already and agree that the PSP is like a console more than a handheld, so maybe I should go with the DS and have a "handheld"?
