Take a look at these links, the first one is a DSIware game (*** only) with 3d possibilities and the second one explains one possibilty how Nintendo can implement 3D in this DS sucessor:

DSI game

Possibility

I'm not saying that Nintendo will use this technique, but it is interesting + take in the fact that they announced earlier this succesor will have gamecube-like graphics and you have one might machine.

Now something to discuss: what games would you like to see on this 3DS + what 3D effects could they use?

I would like to see a Paper Mario game in which you can jump from the front to the back + you sometimes have to turn your 3DS to see objects better or to move things ( it's also announced that the 3DS will have a "tilt-sensor").

Like I said in the other post, with two higher resolution, higher framerate IR cameras the effect would be even better, allowing for better depth recognition. With a faster processor, it would be even quicker to react. In terms of games, I could imagine a Warioware game would have to be a launch title. Pretty much as a tech demo, like it was for the DS. But what would make me buy this thing more than anything. Super Mario Sunshine 3D. I would kill for that. Oh and a Smash Bros. game.

im really geting interested in the new ds cannot wait for e3 this year the handhelds have become the new and exciting thing just to see how far they can push them, i hope nintendo with all the money they have made in the last couple of years they really push themselves with this console, the graphics could be amazing on this i mean the psp was made in 2004 look how good it looks :) and the fact that they are putting 3d on it must mean they have reasonable graphics capabilaties as no one wants to see pixalated graphics in 3d

Mario Kart.

See 3D objects thrown at people. Maybe 3D crashes.

Depending on the particular 3D technology Nintendo uses, the 3DS may or may not be capable of this perspective effect.

I'm curious as to how well the touch screen will be used. Sure you can see things in 3D, but how would this affect the players perspective of where to touch the screen at?Will you think the screen is closer then it is and poke air, or further then it really is and stab the screen?

If you can only view it from one angle in 3D it seems like it would make this a purely aesthetic change (which won't be bad if it doesn't interfere with other features). If you can view it from multiple angles though, I think it could help the game camera, and make it easier to watch other people play.

Having more interaction above and between screens may make the gap between them less noticeable.

Pokemon battles would be fun to watch in 3D. I would love to see my little critters pop out of the screen.

It makes me want a TWEWY seaqule a little less. As if the battles aren't hectic enough. Lets make it 3D! Although some 3D effects would be cool.

Definitely Mario, Zelda, and Metroid titles. Those are easy. :P Maybe a Fire Emblem game too...the possibilities there are awesome.

I want to see a new Animal Crossing game in that style... but it seems like that's the only game where those style graphics will even work. I'm trying to picture an action-adventure game or an rpg with those graphics and all I can picture is a very disorienting experience.
