ACtually, you've got it wrong, only people who havent downloaded it by june 30th have to pay the 5 bucks, everyone else has it forever, according to the press release.Â

"This version of the browser remains a free download until June 30, 2007, and once downloaded is free for the lifetime of the system."
...and this is from Nintendo.com:
"The full version of the Internet Channel is available as a free download through June 30, after which it will cost 500 Wii Points. Once downloaded, the Internet Channel is free for the lifetime of the system."
