The game is available now on the 3DS eShop.
It's not getting a physical retail release and I haven't seen much talk about this game.
I enjoyed the demo (and previous games) so i'm gonna be using my $30 SMT4+FE:A credit on this.

I'll most likely use the $30 as well for it, but I doubt I'll be able to play it this year. Pokemon will have me hooked for another few months. Maybe until March. :P
I think it's a very good deal at $30. But I'll wait a while because I have too many games to play right now and little time
Picked it up this morning. It has already shaken me out of my Pokemon addiction, so I could see this one taking up my spare time for the next week or so.
I can't pass it up. I love the Ace Attorney games. I played all games back to back in summer 2012 and I was eagerly awaiting this one. Now I only have to wait for Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney.
I'll pick it up if it ever gets discounted. I like the Ace Attorney games, but $30 is a but much for them, IMO.
I wish I had the money to buy this right away. I'll probably download it later in the year though. It will be my first entry into the series. I love games like Hotel Dusk and Trauma Center so I want to play all the old Phoenix Wright games too.
Is it absolutely essential to play the other games in the series before playing this one? I downloaded the demo and enjoyed it, but I've heard it's a must to play the other games ... but I don't have the time nor wish to spend that much money to pick up the older titles (you can buy 5 of the older games in a pack for $100 CDN tax in).
If you have an iOS device, you can buy the first three games (remade for iDevices) in the series for $5 each (if I am not mistaken). I myself am currently finish off the second title (PW: Justice for All), so I will not be buying this latest entry anytime soon.

I wouldn't say it's absolutely essential.
I played the first three games and they were tied closely together in terms of the backstory.
From what i've played of this (very good btw!), it works well enough as a stand-alone game. I never played any of the games ft. Apollo however but I don't feel like i'm missing too much with regards to him. I also haven't noticed too many important references to the original three games either.

Okay that's good to hear! I think I'm just going to pick it up anyway.
