I mean, yeah, Red Steel wasn't the best game. But, it had a lot of promise and if it wasn't rushed it could've been a lot better.

Considering the potential in that franchise coupled with the advancements in FPS controls (thanks to Metroid Prime 3, and Medal of Honor: Heroes 2)...

Are you excited for it? Cause I am.

I never actually played Red Steel. Watched a friend play it, decided not to play it despite its newness and hype (I think I had read the review by that point which swayed my decision). Nevertheless, I won't write off the sequel for the reasons you mentioned above. They were among the first to pioneer new controls, and there has been much refinement since.

I wanna new James Bond game like the Gamecube had for the Wii. They had great multiplayer lvl's

I just hope the Japanese isn't as weird as it was in the first one, they'd speak english, then all of a sudden say "GAIJIN!" I mean wth?!. lol

I can't wait for this, but I'm more excited for ToS2, and Okami.

Redsteel one was actually ok so if Redsteel can improve the sword fighting, overall improve the game, maintain the spitscreen, add online, have great graphics and controls as good as MP3 or MOH heroes 2 then it would be an easy AAA game for me. The fact that it's not a WW2 game also makes me more excited for it and I trust that Ubisoft can improve on the game and make it very good because if they don't I wont even bother hyping Redsteel 3.

I played. I liked.

But gollie, if they had taken more time on it and changed up the controls, it would have been amazing.

It had great style.

online multiplayer or i'm won't even look at reviews ...

... and if ubisoft gives the developpement it deserves to reach a high level of quality, then it might be interesting, not a fast done sequel ...

The first Red Steel was a good game with its many flaws, and I'm hoping Red Steel 2 fixes all these problems and really makes the Red Steel we were hoping for at launch.

I'm cautiously excited, I had high hopes for the first one and I was let down. The bright side is it can only get better.

I personally don't see it as so incredible now, you see, when Red Steel came out, the only real thing that made anyone really want to play it was because of the Wii Remote, now we have games like Medal of Honour Heroes 2, MP3, thus destroying the fact that the controls of Red Steel are so "incredible".

I'm cautiously optimistic. Red Steel was solid, but you could tell that they would have benefitted from more development time. Red Steel set a solid foundation. Then again, I'm not too sure about Ubisoft's ability to show improvement. The improvement certainly wasn't there in Raving Rabbids 2.

I've yet to see any information about it to be excited. Maybe when I get some concrete info about the game, some screenshots, then I can form an opinion.

From what I've heard, Red Steel has a reputation for being crap, but in reality it was just an average overhyped FPS that needed some more work in the graphics, storyline, and controls departments. I figure when I can find it for $20, I might pick it up and judge for myself.

at very least it won't feel so unnatural going to the edge of the screen everytime again
and online could be quite cool

i hope they make the katana a weapon rather than a minigame in pars of the game
