I'm looking for a good World War II game for DS.The Call of Duty:World at War seem to based on World War.
Is it based on World War I or II?
Are there some other good World War games on DS?

Yes it is based on WW2 and yes it is a solid game worth buying especially for the multiplayer.

Well... yes it is based in WWII, and yes it is a good game for the DS (not the 360 as one ignorant chum said), but I don't think the multiplayer is fun at all unless you like getting your head kicked in by cheaters.
All good points.
If you are looking for a good WWII game, try either COD5 or brothers in arms, however, the latter is old, and it was a love it or hate it.
If all you need is a good multiplayer 1st person shooter for DS, try Metroid Prime: Hunters. I don't recommend online play, but when I used to own this game, I was captivated by its 26 maps, different hunters, and different weapons/abilities, and varied styles of multiplayer.
The reason MP:H is good for multiplayer is that anytime that you want to play, you can choose to play with 3 other AI players, all with editable difficulty settings. This was a major plus for me, because I could challenge my shooting skills anytime, regardless of there being anyone around me with the same game.

Agreed. Being able to add bots, play any map in any mode, with high levels of customization (i.e., friendly fire, bot intelligence, team play, damage, etc...) is easily the biggest reason MPH has such staying power.
To the original poster, you might like COD for the DS, but as even as a huge FPS fan I did not like it at all. The gameplay is solid, but the graphics/system aren't up to the task; it's hard to see enemies, there are framerate issues, and what not. If you're motivated, though, you will probably get a decent amount of enjoyment out of it.
