I'd say IGN generally gives out 9.0s where 9.0s are deserved. There are a lot of great games out there, especially during this time of year. Gamespot just refuses to see it.

ummmm, you have the wrong game. i was surprised they gave Assissins Creed a 9.0 with editors choice. every other site like IGN and teamxbox gave it like a 7.2 or 7.5. and the game wasn't even that great. it was only worth a rent.
