Is Heatseeker worth getting? Yes or No?

It's had bad reviews but a lot of people say the game is really fun.

I like it a lot, controls are cool, flying feels cool, fast exciting action.

Bad graphics, doesn't hold a huge amount of value, not worth £40 like most of the other games.

If you're into the genre then get it, otherwise wait for second hand.

Its a fun game and the Wii control scheme makes it an unique experience.

 I can't understand the negative reviews it gets for image quality. It has a great framerate (more important in this kind of game) and its one of the best looking flight combat game on console systems (blazing angels on the 360 probably holds the looks crown at the moment).

 I find this the best single player modern (arcade) aircombat sim. The high you get from a perfect kill  is great. The view system is great and shows you the action. In other flight games you see a distant explosion in heatseeker the kill cam shows you your missile hitting the target with great special effects.

 The surrounding world is great with technical details. AA guns tracking their targets. You see SAMs launching AA screens from your taskforce trying to destroy enemy aircraft. Its also nice to use unlocked aircraft to redo the mission. Take the weakest aircraft and see if you can pull it of again. 

This game is fun. Games should be judged on how fun they are. Who cares if picture quality is full HD if the game itself is boring.

a multiplayer mode would be ideal, and the 50$ price tag is too much.

I can see why some people would say: 'No, It isn't worth buying' but to be honest i think it is.

The game provides a much needed break from the norm and has a lot of really nice features.

For example,  being able to watch your enemies explode in close up and slow-motion.

Treating the Wiimote as a joystick (professinal controls) is a great experience.

Sure, it may be repetative but if you play it maybe an hour a day or so, you won't get tired of it.

It really does set the standard for other similar games. 

I would say it is definately worth a buy.  Check EBAY out for a cheap deal.

from the videos ive seen they dont look too bad, the only thing i see wrong is all the explosions look basically the same

Like a high end dreamcast game. Plane models are nice but the rest is kinda trashy. 

it's the gameplay i'm wondering about. if i wanted the latest in graphics i'd be playing a PS3 right now.twitch227

Whats latest graphics got to do with it? Wouldn't you expect at least Gamecube or xbox standard?
