hello everyone i got my new ds 2 weeks ago and it had scratches now that whenver i slide my stylus over the scratches it feels rough and makes a sound that sounds rough. every time im done with my ds or when my sisters are i always clean my ds for like as long as 15 mins and i use a circling motion on the touch screen and now there are 3 scratches. cant i buy a nintendo tri screw and buy a new touch pad and open my ds and replace the touch pad (not the lcd). can i do that?

I dont think that its the cleaning that is creating the scratches on your touch screen, it is probably how you are using it during game play. As for opening up the ds and replacing the screen, i wouldnt recomend it unless you know what you are doing.

Mate, first thing i did when i bought my ds was get screen protectors and a polycarbonate shell for it. NO scratches on it whatsoever, i've had it for 2 months. I do suggest buying a set of screen protectors, as this will help prevent other scratches, but i'm sure it's not the cleaning which is doing the damage, unless you're using a non microfibre cloth or coarse cloth

Cleaning dont hurt, probably you just putting a lot of pressure when you use in the cicle motion.

Protectors never hurt. My protectors receive scrachtes, but I replace them every once and awhile and my screens receieve little effect. Also, consider possibly not tapping or pushing the stylus so hard on the screen?
