Is it just me or do the supersmash brothers games get boring and tedious?

I dont know it it is just me but I can never play a ssb game for more than an hour or two. After that they just get plain boring because you are just doing the same thing over and over. Does anyone else feel this way!

I don't. But whatever. It probably would if you play singleplayer. Multiplayer is always a blast.

Exactly, it's a fighting game

You play it for a while and then move onto other games, there's no real draw to it once you unlock all the fighters

I beat Super Smash Bros Brawl up and down, unlocked a lot of stuff. Playing online is like a win or miss, I still get disconnected problem even when I followed these so called Tutorials on how to unblock your router so you can play with the game online. It was fun and addicting when I first bought it I guess I just don't have enough people to play with.

it seems to me like this game was hyped like crazy and then almost immediately dropped off after it was released. I don't own the game but I have a question for those of you who do:

when playing multiplayer are you generally playing online or locally? From what I've gathered on here, the online leaves much to be desired and a lot of people were kinda riding on it being the main way they were gonna play with others. I think that if online was left out, leaving players to get a group of friends together to play, it might have not had the same effect. that's just me though and like I said, I've not played the game.

I'll give you that one. I'm just wondering if the stability (or apparent lack thereof) of the online is left unchecked that it will have the staying power that the previous game had.

I dont like SSB games. I had Melee and thought it was extremely boring.

It's not a bad game/series, but I'm more into puzzle solving/adventure games. Not fighting.

It's just you. Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the best game ever created, and it will be til the next Smash Bros. You just try doing other things in the game, because it's impossible for Smash Bros. to be boring.

I must admit I'm BORED WITH BRAWL. Deal with it, people.

Even though I checked the site everyday for the update, I played it for about a month or so, then dropped it. Maybe because its WiFi sucks, or that the Challenges do nothing except give you a trophy, which is one of about 2000.

So, OP, don't feel alone.

It's boring when I play alone and can't find anyone online but once I have friends over or if I find someone on Wi-Fi then it gets fun

Believe me, itz not Nintendo's fault you cannot find a game online, or don't have friends with a Wii and a copy of the game.

I usually find games under 30 secs every time. I also do not have much of a problem when it comes to lag. More than half of my games don't have much lag. I sometimes get games that feature a noticeable input lag, but if it effects gameplay too much for me, I simply and quickly exit the game and find another one. You will ocassionally get games that freeze for some reason, but itz not that often, therefor not really a big problem at all.

I haven't even scratched the surface of this gigantic game. I've mainly been playing Wifi, and most of those games have been with random people. So.. Yea, I'm still having fun with Smash..

waited two years for it.. Played it for a week.. Now its just boring even online.. And the fighting/allstar/classic mode.. Gets old after youve done it again and again.. Seeing as its the same and boring after awhile.

luckily, the multiplayer saves it

exactly how i felt....only replace "week" with "month". i felt the game was a giant copy/paste job.

To people who like the game, the next step would be mastering their favourite's.

Like for me, i kept finding a new character i enjoyed using after every couple of days, and then i tried to find out what works and what doesnt work with them.

It's still fun, and I'll be playing it for years, but right now I am tired of it. MKW, GH3, and RE4 are holding my interest right now.

It can't just be him. If you read the thread there is a handfull of other ppl that feel the same way. I would agree, because I feel ssbb was way over hyped. When I played it it was hard to tell who was who online, it was essentially more skilled bots.

Gametrailer's review said something like: "Super Smash Bros. Brawl is average... If you intend to play it by yourself. As a multiplayer experience, it nears perfection." It doesn't matter how great a fighting game is, the single player experience wears off after a few months. It's the multiplayer that gives them almost infinite replayability. If you don't like the online multiplayer, GET SOME FRIENDS OVER AND PLAY WITH THEM. Soul Calibur, Street Fighter and all the other classic games didn't have online, but they're still classics, and they're just as fun as they were back in the day, as long as you have a human opponent to play against. If anything, all three Super Smash Bros. games have the edge over all the others fighting games, because four persons can play at the same time.

The Subspace Emissary can get a little bit repetitive, but besides that I think the game is a blast. I love unlocking all of the characters and completing challenges, that sort of thing, so SSBB is right up my alley. The multiplayer is also so epic and is the best party game I think I have ever played.

In short, no, I don't think SSBB is boring or tedious whatsoever.

SSBB got boring after of week of my purchase. Havent played it in awhile. If only Nintendo could of made the online epic! Yes, i have friends rarely invite them over to my house, I always go to theirs.
