Is it just me, or is RS2's ending very forgettable? (don't worry, no spoilers)

I just finished Red Steel 2 and man, talk about a boring ending. The last fight is so unimaginative, it's just like any other fight. I was expecting multiple fights, like different final boss stages, but no. It's just a fight like any other, but a bit tougher. The end. It makes the whole game (as awesome as it is) feel rushed and incomplete.

Anyone feel the same?

I'm a bit disappointed now, because I really want more to do, but that's it. Even the challenge mode is just the single player over again, you even have to go through the cut-scenes and training again. Why?

A much cooler challenge mode would be where they throw an infinite and increasingly difficult amount of enemies and you see how long you can last.

That or online death matches...

The ending was so crappy, it made me feel like I played the whole game for nothing. But then again the whole plot of the game was terrible from start to finish, I just couldn't imagine a good ending, lol. I found the final boss one of the easiest fights I've ever played in a video game, it took me less than 30 seconds to beat him. :|

I thought the game as a whole was forgettable.

The ending DID feel kind of rushed and left me wanting more. But hey, at least the gameplay itself is a LOT of fun.

Not really, just use the Tiger and he's a chump.

Yeah usually I love to listen in detail to the cut scenes and see what the story's all about. And I tried to do that with Red Steel 2 too, but about quarter way through I felt like I was wasting my time, listening for nothing. May as well skip the cut scenes and just play through the battles as that's the only source of appeal in this game. Well to me anyway.

Still fun though btw, I don't regret getting it or anything, the sword/gun battles are worth it.

I don't know, I remember beating him in less than a minute. Dodging a few attacks, using some of the special skills, and a few barbaric swings are enough to beat him quickly. :P

Yeah the gameplay was epic but the game itself and the story finished way too soon and has virtually no replay. I finished the game in a couple of days and traded it in right after, normally i would be annoyed at this but i got a great deal from amazon RS2 and WM+ for £30 ~ $50. As far as the final boss goes, or any of the later ones, they we're far too quick and easy. I had a lot more trouble the first time i played against Shinjiro, which gave me high hopes for later bosses ... oh well. I think this is because the player become way too overpowered towards the end, especially with the tiger and the other powers, at least they looked and felt awesome though :D Wonder how the game would have played if i skipped the upgrades ...

I was really disappointed with this game. The only reason I bought it, was because my local rental stores tend not to get new Wii games that often. I gave the game it's chance and enjoyed the gameplay and art style, which are the strong points of this game. However I felt the game was waaaaay to short, I finished it in one weekend and haven't played it sense. There is just no replay value, and online or even offline multiplayer would've been nice.

The first you play the main boss, in the middle of the game, was the most difficult and ONLY difficult part of the whole game. So I was expecting the second and final showdown with him to be just as intense, but there was little to no challenge and then it's over. Bleh. I'm returning my copy even if I GS gips me. I'll just put that credit towards Mario Galaxy 2.

Play it through again on the hardest mode. A better challenge mode could've been awesome, so it's disappointing that they didn't deliver on that front, but the gameplay itself is fun enough to justify another playthrough despite the pointless story.

Totally agree!

I find it hard to believe they (the developers) didn't think about that.

(SPOILERS)

Any ending that's the same exact thing as the first loading screen is bound to be forgettable.
