Solid state memory cards are very sturdy, that's why you see old carts on Ebay 30 years later working just fine.

Yeah, those and disks are less resilient to damage compared to the "SD CARD" type of cards DS games are on.

I'm glad Nintendo chose this design for games, makes me worry a lot less about damaging them when I carry them around.

I use these to carry my games around and while it's not padded or anything they travel just fine. They've been to different states in the car and just around town and no problems

Plus they're 5 bucks for a pack of three holders lol

nintendo has always made very, very sturdy products.the ds cart falling on the rug isnt going to damage it.

i remember watching x-play on G4 in 2005(when it wasnt as lame as it was now) and they dropped an gamecube, a ps2 and a xbox for the roof of a building.the ps2 easily broke, the xbox was a bit damaged and the gamecube was almost in perfect condition.

You'd better run it through the dishwasher just to make sure it didn't get any dirt in it.

I keep my DS in my pocket at all times, and two games hidden behind my licence in my wallet. Let me tell you; They're durable as I've ever seen.

I have one game where the plastic in the back is cracked, but it works fine.

Yeah they can get damaged pretty easily. I threw my DS lite on the floor (I got P.O.ed at a game)and some of the plastic covering on it chipped off.

Is your DS cart actually defective, or do you just wander through life worrying about every possible thing that could go wrong? The DS carts are solid as can be, and from what I can tell, the only thing that anyone should be worrying about is losing that tiny little game. Another suggestion would be to QUIT DROPPING YOUR GAME ON THE CARPET. I know it's difficult, but surely your fingers aren't greased with butter, and if you can't keep a grip on a DS game, then videogames are the least of your worries if you catch my drift. I watch DR. Phil after Oprah, and let me say, Meteos is a very addictive DS game. Go buy now!
