I ask because my house is built as such that it would not allow me to get Wi-Fi from a wireless router. My house is built of old materials and my compuer is on the first floor. My games are on the third floor. So, is there any way to use my third floor phone jack to get a connection? Any help is greatly appreciated. Please don't bullcrap me because it's April Fool's day.

My friend has his main computer on the 3rd floor, and he just runs long cables from there through the floor to the 2nd and 1st floors.  And on most game consoles, you need cable, not dial up.

You could just put your wireless router on the 1st floor and then use 2 wireless access points on each floor above to keep the signal constant.

Well I have DSL which runs off a phone jack. I move my router from phone jack to phone jack when necessary. If you have cable then I don't see how you could do this unless you move your computer/router.

what you need is a throught elecricity ethernet connection. you have two adapters which plug into your mains and then are able to comunicate thought it. more effective than Wifi and more flexable than hard cables
