i'm just wondering .... I know this game is like 2 years old n all ... so is it worth getting it now ? i've never played it but it looks really fun ... and some say that it's like one of the best DS games .... same goes for Elite Beat Agents .... are these games worth getting now or should I just save my money for the upcoming DS games .....

Well honestly, I wouldn't. Instead just buy Mario Kart for the N64 with the VC and play it. Gameplay doesn't change much and you should keep your money for other games you might not have (such as advance wars or final fantasy XII revenant wings).

In my opinion, it's never too late to buy an old game you think looks fun. I have the game myself, so yes it's worth buying.

I good game is a good game, 2 years withstanding. Buy it, if you like that type of game.

I'm playing right now when I'm posting this, it's the best game on the DS for multiplayer and it has new features that makes it last for a long time.

It is still the same game as it was when it came out. If you want a protable kart than this is your game.

I agree with you. I don't know if the VC version of Mario kart 64 has online battles, but Mario kart DS does, and it adds more replayability to the game. I've had ever since it came out, and I still play it from time to time.

I wasn't too aware of Mario Kart DS' existance when it released. I bought it two weeks ago and it is fun. If I could get my DS to work on Wi-fi, that'd be cool...either way, I say go for it.

Well first of all, I dont think it's ever too late to buy a game or game system man, I have collected all my game systems from all the way back to the nintend (Im 17) and I have them stored in my closet and when I move out I plan to have a room dedicated to past video game systems and I plan to go on ebay and buy a bunch of other systems and games.

But the answer to your question is no, Mario Kart DS is a great game, lots of fun, it is totally worth a buy. Plus it will be able to hold you over if you are waiting for the Wii version of mario kart.

in my opinion the game is really fun, it has levels from all of the previous mario karts and some new ones. The thing that i think makes the game intresting is the wi-fi. I think you should get it if you liked the previous ones and you really want to try it out.

Heck No! MKDS is a great game and is still one of the best games for the DS. It's definitely worth a buy if you don't have it yet. I don't know about EBA though. I've never played the game before, but I've only heard great things about, so I would assume it's still worth a purchase.

Mario Kart DS was like one of the first wifi games, and it's so awesome, it's never to late to buy something like this. Plus there's wifi and single card download play. So if your friends have a DS they can play with you without having MKDS. Awesome ^ ^

the beauty of buying games long after their release date is that the price has come way down, but the gameplay is generally still as good.

i've been picking up GBA games to play on my DS lately. really cheap, and still a lot of fun. just got Two Castlevania games, in one cartridge, for under $15.

also, this thread has inspired me to seek out Mario Kart DS.

I just bought the game a month ago, its awesome and people still play it online. Tons of replay value to. I gave it a 9/10 in my review. But too many cheaters and quitters online IMO. But still i think its a must buy for the DS, get it.
