I was reading the comparison page on Nintendo's web site and it said that "almost all DSI games work on the DSI XL". Is there a list of DSI games that do not work on the XL?

Uh, where did you read that? DSi XL should play ALL DSi compatible games. The only games it shouldn't be able to play are those that use the GBA slot.

The XL is just a big DSi. Why wouldn't it be able to play DSi games?

My mistake. I misread it. It says that almost all DS games will work on the DSI.

I read it here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/forum/cd/discussion.html?ie=UTF8&cdForum=Fx20DX5GEB7TUX8&cdThread=TxR1S06XF4MSFX

For some reason I thought I read it on the Nintendo website but I guess I was wrong.

So is there a defined list of DS games that won't work on the DSI/DSI XL?

The only ones I know of are the Guitar Hero: On Tour games... they've got a fret attachment that uses the GBA slot.

That makes sense, but is there a list of games that require the GBA slot? I just don't want to end up buying a game and then find out that it won't work.

You will freaking KNOW. DS games don't just randomly use the GBA slot. Because, you know, they're DS games. Just don't worry about it. It's just a special peripheral thing.

Calm down man. The only games that need the GBA slot are the Guitar Hero games, Band Hero, Rumble packs, and some games like Pokemon where you can transfer stuff from the GBA game to the DS game. The game will work, just not the feature on the pokemon games.

Pokemon doesn't need the GBA slot (though it is a boon)
