I've been wondering for a long time now if it's worth to buy a brand new DS lite, I mean it has been out for a very long time and i'm worried that i'm going to be dissapointed of th DS if i'm buying it now.

Is it out-dated?

Should I buy one?

I would say yes buy one because it has plenty of awesome games out right now, and there are still more to come.

It is safe to buy a new dsl now.  It has been out less than a year and nintendo shouldn't try to upgrade it for another year or two.  There are planty of good games to get, and the cracked hindge issue shouldn't be any problem anymore.

I had the same fear. I bought mine last Wednesday, and I'm really happy with it. I was worried that some new Nintendo handheld would come out right when I got the DS, but I'm sure it will have at least 2 more years in it. There are some amazing titles out now and some amazing ones to come. I think it's definitely worth the buy:)

DS is still in its prime. It's about maybe half way through. Absolutely worth it lots of quality titles to check out and the number of great games keeps growing ofcourse so yea totally worth it. You'll get a good year and a half minimum out of it maybe 2 and a half years.

I was very skeptical about the lite. I thought paying more money for brighter screen and more battery life was a waste. Fortunately I was wrong. Games have more color and seem to look way better with the brighter screen. It also feels like the screens are bigger than the DS phat. And the stylus is much bigger!! (yay) But I dont think its outdated at all. I highly suggest it. My brother saw how good mine was and bought himslef a new one in 5 days.

there has never been a better time to buy a DS. i finally bit the bullet december 05, and i haven't regretted it. even with the lite out now (making my fatty seem dated), i'm still overwhelmed with the amount of great games to play on it.

Ds will never be outdated...It is a cool console , so I suggest you to purchase 1

Even PSP is more popular at Singapore , I still love my Ds more than PSP :D

yes the nintendo ds is a good system and it already has good games and it will soon have the original mega man series which I can't wait for and there will be online games and that makes me exited and get either the nintendo ds or the nintendo ds light it doesn't matter.
