My brothers and I are thinking about getting a Wii. Now it definately looks very fun, Madden 08, Mario Strikers Charged, Zelda, Ghost Squad, and MLB Power Pros and a few others are what we'd get. I just have some Questions.

Is the system fun?

Is it worth the 250?

Is it repetitive?

Does Wii Sports come with it?

Thanks

Yes it if worth it. Especially for $250. I would spend 400 on it i like it so much. It is also so much more than just video game system. You can surf the internet, look up news, weather, and download old games from previous systems from a shop channel. Yes wii sports comes with it and it is a blast. Basically just a bunch of sport mini games that will keep you entertained. But if you are persuasive on getting the wii i definitly recomend it.

1.Many of its games are fun.

2.IMO yes.

3.Consoles don't get repetitive, only certain games.

4.Yes it does.

Oh, and if you what a game that'll challange your brain, I seriously recommend looking into Zack and Wiki. The puzzles are excellent (except perhaps for the very early ones), and I can think of no game that exploits the Wii controls nearly as well.

at this point, i dont really consider the wii worth it. but thats because of my tastes in games. look at whats on the way out, and decide if you want to invest 250 in the system.

1. Hell yes! I've never had as much fun playing as with Wii. You'll need friends to play with though.

2. Simply put: yes.

3. What do you mean? Everything can get repetitive if you play too much. And it's more about the games than the console. Bad games get repetitive earlier, but when they do, you know it's time to buy a new game. Same as with every system.

4. Everywhere else except Japan. You'll need another Wiimote to get the most fun out of it though. Party (and most sport) games are nothing without friends. On the bright side, you get Wii Play with new Wiimote.

Wii is worth all it's money. You will have a great time playing games on Wii. Zelda is very good, and the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy is looking amazing.

So my recommodation: Go and buy a Wii.

1. imo.. yes.. I`m 27 yo.. I consider myself a hardcore gamer (a broke one now, reason why i do not own a 360 :( ) But most of my friends are casual gamers or even non-gamers. With the Wii I have made 3 great parties. and even the non-gamers had a blast. And as a gamer myself.. I love the system (there was a time when it was just standing there, I got it almost at launch. But now the library is growning with great games :) )

2. Yes.. imo... Now, i would advice you to look at the library of games and see if you would like more than a couple of games.

3. :? Wii play.. yes. Others like MP3, RE4, Zelda TP, Super paper Mario, and others coming up... NO!! :)

4. yes. And is a great game for parties :P Would pry add Mario and Sonic if after the rent i like it :)

Oh and if you are a old-school gamer... you may like the VC :) (no a good think for your pocket... )

it's really up to you if you want to try a new, refreshing gaming experience. at first, i thought the motion controllers were gimmicks but after having it for a year, its worth my money. it's a great party systems. i had a lot of get togethers back then when wii sport was amazing and since there are many party games coming out, the system will be a blast to play. and if you want hardcore games, games like zelda, mario, metroid, RE, and many others will keep you busy for awhile. so a system that cost only 250 and can bring a lot of enjoyment in the living room, it's worth it.

The wii is great! I'm talkin to you right now from it. The Internet Channel is good, you can see weather/news. Good games are out and coming, and you can always pick up a used gamecube game to pass time between major releases (my favorite thing to do) 250 is low compared to 360/PS3, & they are built well. However, make sure you get something to charge your batteries. 2 AA's will last 10 days tops if you use the Wii 2 hours a day.

1. Uh....yeah, no doubt.
2. Yep, worth the $250. You get Wii Sports, one Wii Remote and one Nunchuk attachment, though, so you're going to have to shell out for extra controllers: $40 for each Remote and $20 for each Nunchuk.
3. It's a matter of opinion on which games you play.
4. Like stated, yep.

I think it's worth noting that THE game to get for Wii is Super Mario Galaxy. Ghost Squad, Madden, and Mario Strikers Charged look very good for multiplayer, too. Not to mention Brawl...
