Is Luigi actually more popular than Mario!?

If a world-wide poll was done to see which Mario Bro. people like more, would Luigi actually win?

I have no problem with Luigi, but he was only created for the sole perpose of being P2. What do people see in him? I know that people usualy go with the Underdog for whatever reason, but Luigi isn't an underdog anymore. He has been in all kinds of Mario games lately and he is crazy popular.

Is it just cause he wheres Green?

Is is because he's Skinny?

It just dosn't seem like Luigi should be more popular than the hero Mario. Im sorry, rabid Luigi fans.

Actually, it's always been like that. Luig was a better jumper. But he wasn't stronger.

I actualy did send that question in months ago, but I doubt Nintendo will use it because they don't want conflict between fans of 2 of their most popular characters.
