Going to be compatible with the Wii Zapper? So far i've heard about Medal of Honor, Ghost Squad and RE:UC being compatible with it.

Let's hope not. The controls would be screwed up with the zapper.

From some of the videos I've seen it looks like you need to be able to move the Wii controller and the nunchuck independently, and snapping them both into the zapper would take away that independence. I doubt the game will be unplayable with the zapper, but no one will want to play it that way.

Nope!!.....Descriptions of the game so far, have exemplified, the nunchuk and wii-mote will frequently operate independent of each other. We all know the functionality of the Wii-mote, but the nunchuk (having motion capability, too), will have to be "non-stationary" to operate various task in the game as well. I guess, some people are still unaware of the nunchuks role in the game? For all that don't know: the grappling beam will be operated by the nunchuk, opening certain vault-like doors, pulling and pushing objects, etc. So therefore due to the constraint of the "Wii zapper" design, it would probably be useless with a game designed like Metroid Prime 3. Arcade shooters.......Duck hunt-ish, ......that new Ghost Squad game coming out by Sega, would probably be a better fit.

The Wii Zapper seems quite useless for FPS games trying to make use of nun-chuck motion sensoring. However, some games will have control settings designed specifically for the Wii Zapper so who knows, they might yet announce functionality with Metroid Prime before release.

i hate the Nintendo Zapper. If anything this is the GunController im buying.

the nunchuck just sits there, so you can remove it quickly for doing things like throwing grenades, opening doors and other such activities. Better than the Nintendo Zapper by Far.

The zapper's a bad idea for any game that's not a lightgun shooter. It basically limits individual limb movement by sticking the wiimote and nunchuck together.

How could they use that controller for games like Red steel? Swordfighting wih a controller extension like that wouldnt necessarilly be that "safe" and having to remove the wiimote and the nunchuck from the gun would take a bit of time that people would probably rather to just play their game...

It's not software, it's just optional hardware so yes it is 'compatiable' but metroid uses too many buttons and the nunchuck to use it effectively

That one looks good! I would wait to see the review by IGN on the Zapper first before purchasing it.

But these guns would really limit to what you could do in a game, like throwing a grenade.
