Is my DS dying?

Recently when I turn on my DS I don't see the green light but everything appears normal and plays ok, when it's low on battery the red light comes on just fine. I was wondering if anyone has experienced their DS not displaying the green light when on and if this is an early warning sign that it's going to crap out on my anytime soon. Or maybe I'm just looking for a scapegoat to get a DSi.

As long as you can still play your games and don't suffer from having short battery life then you're fine.

Actually this is more good than bad.

Assuming your battery wasnt affected or shortened the battery life or etc, then it means the battery should last a lil` longer, because it won`t use charge to power up a light.

I guess it shall last 30 more minutes than normally it would.

As long as the red light appears to warn you that the battery is almost running out of charge, then its not really a problem.
