Is New Super Mario Bros the same as original with better graphics?

It is a 2-D platfromer with 3-D models, but it is far easier than the first game.

Definitely better graphics but the game was too short and easy for my tastes.

I do not think that handheld games are intended to be long and difficult. They serve a different purpose than home console games and are not intended to compete and replace them.

no it is a new mario game the only game that has a remake of super mario bros with better graphics is super mario all stars for the super nintendo.

Yes, the game was definitely short and easy, but i think that mario games have always been easier than other games in that genre. Partly, I think it has to do with Nintendo's new goal of making all games acessable to all gamers, no matter what their age or gaming experience. This way, grandma can pick up this game and have as much fun with it as the guy that was playing the original SMB back in the day. They're just playing it for different reasons. Grandma may be looking for a challenge, while Joe Shmoe is only looking for nostalgia.

I have never beaten the original. lol, that game's hard.
