I still like pokemon.kingofkings500Same here. Heck, I still watch the animated series if it's on before I go to sleep after my graveyard shift.
games I bought: blue was good, yellow was better, gold was amazing, saphire was okay, and diamond was amazing again. I love the series
I personally think it hit its peak in 1998 with Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow. It's been downhill since then.Rocky32189so true, if they remade those versions with better graphics and online play id probably still be playing pokemon today.
Well, currently I'm playing through the original Pokemon Red on my old Game Boy Pocket, and I still love the game just as much as I did when I was in elementry school.
Like others, I believe it's peak was when the originals were released. However, Silver still hold the spot as my favorite Pokemon game of all time. Personally I'd love to see a Gold/Silver remake for the DS, as well as the release of the Original Red/Blue on the VC, but that probably won't happen for a while if it happens at all.

Fire Red/Leaf Green say hi and if you want online they play Diamond or Pearl, Shoddy Battle or Netbattle.
Oh and no Gold/Silver/Crystal was THE best generation easily but after that it went downhill.

Same here; Yellow is the last one I played. People still buy the newest version when it comes out and seems to be happy with them, though, so I guess the franchise will never die.
It seems you guys haven't given pokemon a chance. At all. Just oe chance and that's it? Sheeesh yall are aeriously hardcoreThunderball37
The one chance would point to the opposite.
As for Pokemon?
It's always been cool to some people and it's always not been cool to others.
... Or has it been dead since 2001 (Crystal Version.)dmil1991
everything after crystal (except fiery red and w/e the blue one was) i didn't like.
esp the 3d ones. is it cool to be dressed in a cape with face paint and white crazy hair? sounds like a freak to me. early pokemon had maturaty to it but sence that most of it has been lost to 4-9 year olds.
wish VC would release gameboy and gameboy color games, then i would buy them up to crystal.
[QUOTE="dinofan01"]In terms of games its not necessarily cool but there good games. They tv show sucks now. The dont even have the original voices. ash sounds like a punk now.Jaysonguy
I agree 100%!
I still like how some of the voices are the same
I was watching it the other day and some of it was pretty bad. The intro was so cool that sometimes even guys already in high school sing it just out of nastalsia. but now the song is so bad.
I think it is kind of cool, how they execute all of these awesome moves.
But, not to be supporting the other side or anything, I like Guitar Hero III better.
They don't really just make them up you know, Im 16 and well to be honest I'm crazy for it you can tell from my sig.
Plus i really want to go to their theme park.

Your sixteen! and you enjoy pokemon!
This might come as a surprise but people of all ages like Pokemon plus a myriad of other games.
The first generation was the greatest. The second generation was pretty cool, since I got a chance to train Togepi and Marill. The third generation was just terrible. No offense, but Hoenn is 70% water and there are more worthless pokemon such as Plusle and Volbeat. The fourth generation redeemed itself and can still attract older fans as well as newcomers. This generation has starters that are almost as cool as the first generation.
Pokemon is still cool, if I use the older pokemon.
