Would you say it's "$50" good?

No. Not for the same money that can get you games like the new Super Mario Bros., but if you can find it for cheaper somehow, either used or new, go for it. It's a great addition to the Punch-Out franchise. It's definitely not Wii Boxing like on Wii Sports that comes with the console. Each movement triggers a standard action, like the otherPunch-Out games previously released. It's definitelyPunch-Out and not simply another boxing game, but totally worth owning.
And just like prior releases, it getsvery challenging.
For me, i think its not worth the $50, cause you can only use 1 character, and the gameplay gets repetitive and eventually gets boring. But if the game were to drop to a $35-40 range, i would pick it up for sure.
Is it more difficult than the original NES version? Once I get to Sandman in that game, it's pretty much game over for me.No. Not for the same money that can get you games like the new Super Mario Bros., but if you can find it for cheaper somehow, either used or new, go for it. It's a great game, but be prepared for a challenge later on. I wasn't able to get through Title Defense.
For me, it is the best Wii game money can buy right now. I put over 60 hours into that game and I'll put a lot more into it in the future. It's difficult and the challenges are near impossible to complete, but it is so rewarding and deep.
I don't mean to brag, but I have almost completed every challenge with the Wiimote and Nunchuck controls. It's good venting
It's fun for a while, but the challenge was too frustrating for me once I got to the last cup. You can barely get a hit on the guys! I sold it and made $30 off of it because it was so new at the time.
To me it is $100 good. :)
Little King's Story aside, Punch-Out Wii is the best game for the system released this year.

agreed, the game was fantastic and its definitely one of the systems best as far as I'm concerned. It has great colorful characters, a pretty challenging difficulty, and the polish and quality you'd expect from any Nintendo Published game.

I'd wait until it gets to 20$ minimum or buy a used copy for cheap. The game and challenge in it is great but it gets old fast thanks to its simplicity. It's like Wii Sports' boxing game but with great visuals, hilarious (to an extent) audio and a few added gimmicks to the boxing controls. It's top-notch presentation-wise but the simplicity kills it unless you love that kinda thing.
Yes. It's worth the $50. You fight all the opponents once, then fight them the second time (called title defense)and the second time they are MUCH harder, you will probably lose against the first fighter the second time around. Beat the champion to unlock title defense...
I haven't played multi-player yet either.
I personally think it's harder than the original, and I was one of, hmm, maybe three kids that I knew back in the day, of all of my colleagues, family and friends that could beat Mike Tyson. I can still do it now, but I'm sure I'd get the crap beat out of me in the first few attempts.007-373-5963! hahaha...
I'm still stuck on Soda Popinski, but that's only because I stopped playing my Wii for three months over the summer, because I was so insanely busy with other things in my life. I'm a bit rusty. hahaha...

Really?!? Wow. I could get to Tyson but never beat him without the game genie. I was looking at getting this for Christmas. I still have my NES and Mike Tyson's Punch Out. That and Contra are the only 2 games I really ever play on it anymore... =(
It is not worth the full 50. It's great and title defense mode is a challenge, but after you beat everyone twice, there is not much reason to back and play. You could go for the achievements but all they do is unlock music.
