I am on chapter 4-4 and I think I might be approaching a fight with him very soon. Is he hard? He seems to be one of those characters that are the hardest in the game...

If he isn't the hardest than who is? Also, when is that famous "knife fight" that everyone gets so jittery about?

Salazar is not hard at all, all you need is a rocket launcher and a gun to shoot at the eye and when that happens take out the rocket launcher and hit salazar with it and bam he's done with. As far as the knife fight I don't think that happens til chapter 5-2 or 5-3 I think.

It's pretty challenging, but don't use the rocket launcher. You'll spoil a good boss fight.

dont use the rocket launcher it is a waste of money. get the freebroken butterfly and upgrade it a bit(increase power)

to me the game is way to easy, even on professional mode (except for thecabin part with Luis). I would recomend a shotgun blast to each eye, then bring out the broken butterfly and deal out some serious damage. (20+ would be nice) If you are patient it shouldn't be to hard, but if you try to do everything to fast you will lose.

Listen to me. Easiest boss in the game. Once you learn what to do its a cake walk i play it over and time myself see how fast i can beat him. He is fun to.

Heres how to do it. Upgrade the broken butterfly to 24 firepower. When you fight Salazar use the TMP on the tentical with the eye. Salazar then is vulnerable. Use the BB and shoot him dead. Repeat the process until he's dead.

TMP is a bad choice against him. TMP is best used on enemies.

No, easiest way to kill him is one broken butterfly shot to the eye, and then instantly switch to rocket launcher and shoot him while he is open. One his will kill him. (Rocket launcher kills anything one hit)

Ok, I don't ownthe Wii version. Lets get that out of the way. Salazar was easy in the GC version. The Wii version from what I'm hearing seems to be much easier than the previous ones dues to the controls. If you have trouble, one rocket launcher will do the trick.
