Depends on the amount of time you are willing to devote to the controls.  If you are expecting a pick up n' play type game, prepare to have your @ss kicked.  It took me about 45 minutes to totally get the hang of it but after that it was incredible.  But that's just my opinion.  There are bound to be more;)

I've played about 30 minutes, without reading the manual. VERY fun, but I'm not good enough yet to judge. I find it most enjoyable when you set turning to be ONLY the nunchuck tilting, it's really immersive.

I didn't really like it. Drawing symbols in the air just to do Ubers was kind of overkill IMO.

I STILL can't get Ubers to work....quite frustrating.  If anyone has any tips on how they figured out how to do those, do tell...

Other than that, I'm enjoying it...the gameplay feels good, turning with the nunchuk is quite immersive...graphics are nice.  I'm not sure I like the peak-as-hub concept, as I often go the wrong way accidentally and get pissed off...and I still don't know how to get into tournaments other than the few times they randomly asked me if I wanted to enter a tournament.

For me, the game just isn't worth it.  Expecially when I realized you can get both previous (and in my opinion better) ssx games for the gamecube for less money than Blur.

It's pretty good but not great. I thought gamespot's review perfectly showed what the game was. I've rented it through my gamefly.com account and anyway, it just felt a little dry. The ways they tried to innovate just fell flat and didn't really bring out the "Holy crap this is fun!" -ness of the game. The art direction was wierd and they should have stuck with the other games. Overall it felt like EA was too lazy to make a whole game exclusively for the Wii so they didn't try as hard.

Do the tutorial practice. Also look on the gonintendo.com review. Ubers were meant to be hard to do. They are the fracking uber moves after all.

i was really looking for this game to be amazing, so i preordered it, but then when i pooped it into my wii, i was disappointed. However, after sticking with it for a while, i got the hang of the controls (all except the ubers) and then i started to have some fun. It really gets you in the game and is immersive.

if you go to the tutorial menu there are some words at the bottom of the screen that will tell you how to get to a practice mode where all you do is practice drawing uber shapes.  I found this to be really helpful with tricks.  I think all you have to do is press the 1 button to get there.

I agree.

I also agree, but Uber tricks are hard??? WTF? I pulled one off on my second try. You can even practice doing them in the pause menu. This game is a ton of fun, don't believe the people who complain... Go to ign, read the review, its spot on. If you like snowboarding games or racing games then pick it up. You'll be playing for a good long while.

If you want to access tournaments, you can from the pause menu. Just press +, go to tournaments and choose the one you want. Same thing for doing events. You can just go to the pause menu and select with peak and which event you want to do without having to actually ski or snowboard there.

How long is the replay value of it?
