I've never played this game before, but I've heard it's really short. Still it looks cool, and the graphical update from the N64 to the 3DS looks nice.

If you never played it before, I say go ahead. It is short, but it has a lot of replay value.

Depends, do you own a Wii or an N64? If not then I guess it could be, but if you do you would be better off getting it from either the virtual console, or searching for an original N64 copy, sure the graphics are nicer, but not worth the price if you have another system that can play the game, as it offer no other improvements, aside from portability.

Considering how the game's structured, it's a perfect game to play in short bursts, so the bullet point of portability has more significance as far as I'm concerned. Yes, the game's graphics are best on the N64, but also take note two special features the 3DS version has that the N64 and Wii do not: 3D and gyroscope. Granted, these are more gimmicks than integral features, but take all these into account TC. Also, check for prices online. No need to pay 40 bucks when you can find a sale on it.

Well I actually get motion sickness whenever I tried to play it with 3D on, no other 3DS game has that effect on me.

It's absolutely not worth $40. $20 seems like a better price point for it given the (lack of) content and how lazy a port it is.

Not sure if someone said this, but the game has no online mode. So I think DJ is right, $20 might be better.

absolutely not. If they took the time to add multiplayer then maybe it would have been... I might pick it up when it's under $20

Not even close to a good deal. $40 for a less than one hour game

No. You can get an N64 and Star Fox 64 for around $40. The N64 version is better.

Well, wouldn't the 3DS version be just as good, if not better, if you could get your friends to play their copies with you? That way you guys can do matches against each other. But that would take more money...

The game is notoriously short and a rather lazy port, so I'd have to say no.

No, I felt the controlling was a little stiff. But if you really want the game do try looking for it at less expensive price.

Is it worth it is relative and impossible to predict, since we can't tell how much you'll get out of the game. It is a good game with a lot of replay value if you're a highscore chaser. It doesn't really feel like a lazy port at all, it is just the nature of the game that makes it feel so. Why not always search for the lowest price for it anyway?

The controller is why I think the N64 version is better. I get far better scores on N64 and more importantly I don't get hand cramps. I suppose I should have included that in my first post.

I don't agree...look at the N64 graphics, now look at the 3ds graphics...tell me how its a lazy port. (Not trying to be a troll:P) I do agree it doesnt have much content though.

Yea, The graphics are way better and for a game that's mostly selling to people that loved the original, they should have NOT changed the voices, the new ones are terrible

I finished the game tonight. It is very very short and I'd say it's not worth $40 based on that fact alone. I'm not one that usually cares about length but this is a few hour game at most. I had never played the original so it probably took me longer then it will most people. It is fun while it lasts but $20 seems like a much more reasonable price due to the lack of content.
