Is Super Mario Galaxy really THAT Awesome?

I have a 360 and am blown away by the graphics and gameplay that many top titles provide me with. I also own a Wii and I have to say that in terms of "fun", Super Mario Galaxy beats all others in that category.

You can't judge people's opinions. I think the game is fun and that the designs are excellent, but it wasn't THAT awesome. I'm not the only one who thinks that.

My post was in a sarcastic tone, but I guess sarcasm doesn't translate well through the internet.

Anyway, in my opinion, it's a great game. I can see how others might not like it as much, though.

Is it worthy of the hype? No.

Is it worth the money? Yes.

IMO, SMG is beyond awesome.

Those that think its not a great games don't know what platform games are about.... Thats my opinion as well.

I'm not a fanboy, however,I loved it and think it's really awesome, one of the best games out for the Wii yet.
Even a few friends who own Wii'sbut never liked Mario think this game is one of the best games out there.

I think Mario Galaxy is awesome, and I'm not a fanboy. I also own a 360 and hold no allegiance to any particular console, but I do follow the games I enjoy...and I enjoy games that are awesome like Mario Galaxy.

anyway, I'm just about the biggest Mario fan out there (look at my sig and Avatar if you need some proof), and it was a great game, but not as good as everyone hypes it. After beating it, I haven't gone back to it, and don't really feel an urge to do so any time soon. It's too bad, because it really is a great game, but I had a few problems with it.

That's what I think as well. Super Mario 64 still makes this game look like a joke(in my opinion), but it's worth the money.
