can anyone answer the question in topic?

I thought that the ds cartriges isn't waterproof before but aftermy pokemon diamond gamewas in the washing machine and survived I'm not sure

is it waterproof or luck?

(i've played 160 hours after thepokemon diamond game was in the washing machine and nothing was wrong with it except the first rainfall in one of the routes)

if it's waterproof then i'll make a ds games pool XD

I think it was probably luck. But, honestly, I don't know. I've just assumed they aren't. lol

yeah the little circuits on the back of the cartridge is what makes them non-waterproof.

As the others said, it was probably luck. Maybe your cartridge got trapped in the pocket of a pair of pants and wa protected from the brunt of the water damage or something. Here's an idea- stick a DS game into the washer outside of your pockets and try itagain, then come back and tell us what happens. :P

I know they're atleast semi-water proof. I remember my DS got waterlogged in my pocket during a bad rainstorm, when I checked the cartridge the water had soaked through the sticker and stained it (Professor Layton and the curious village if anyone cares). I let it dry for a while and when I came back, the sticker had returned to its former glory and when I popped it into the DS it was working and nothing had happened to my data.

No electricity is stored on the carts themselves, so it should be ok as long as a circuit doesn't go through to short it out. But that is just me talking, I'm not an electrician or anything. :P

This is probably a case of "Layton is so amazing that only his game is waterproof" as for the main topic.....yeah probably luck.

it wasn't designed to be 100% water proof, I would avoid getting any liquid on or in the cartridge

if you soak it long enough, corrosion will soon occur and you will lose your game forever

in conclusion, keep liquids away from it
