I recently picked mine up for this reason! It's got quite a few good ones, with more on the way.
Already out: Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Dragon Quest IV, The World Ends With You, the Pokemon games + many more...
Comming Soon: Blue Dragon Plus, new Suikoden, new Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Quest IX, and best of all.... CHRONO TRIGGER, probably one of the best RPGS ever made.
I think so. I did a search for DS RPGs with a metacritic score over 75... andhereswhat I got.
And for upcoming RPGs, tryBio_Sparks Mega RPG thread(Hasn't been updated in a while, but you get the idea)
The DS is definately the best system to own (handheld or not) if you want RPG's.
There's just nothing out there that compares.
Yeah DS is King but the PS2 is God.

I agree that the DS is the current RPG champion, but the SNES will forever be the RPG god. Not saying that PS2 didn't have its fair share, but SNES had so many epic RPG's. Look it up sometime. It's astounding how many there are.

Not like i care.
I would actually put the PS1 up there for RPGs and PS2 it's sucessor (lot's or remakes/ sequels).
Another game you may find interesting (or hate) is Lunar Dragon Song. It's only good if you use a guide, but if you like conquering games on your own, avoid this at all costs.
I own both a DS and a PSP and I think they're both amazing RPG systems in different ways. The PSP has great original jRPGs and a ton of sRPGs. There are very few RPG remakes that appear on the PSP. A big part of the DS' RPG line-up are remakes (all the FFs, Chrono Trigger, FFT, etc) but they also have a lot of great non-traditional ones like TWEWY.
Personally, I prefer the jRPG style and my favourite RPG series in the world is on the PSP so it's no comparison which one has better RPGs in my book, but as a whole they are both very good but different.Â
