I have a DSI and I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading to a DSI XL.

Sure it's 93% bigger than the DS Lite, but I don't have the Lite, so that argument really doesn't apply to me.

And I realize that the DSI XL is only $20 more than the DSI, but again, since I already own a DSI, it doesn't really apply to me.

Does anyone here own both the DSI XL and DSI or have in the past? What are your opinions? Are you happier with the DSI XL? From what I can tell, the screen on the DSI XL isnt' that much bigger than the DSI and is it worth lugging around a bigger device just to play on a slightly bigger screen?

I've had both and am happier with the XL. The screens are a lot bigger. That said, it's probably not worth trading it in unless there is something wrong with your DSi... or money isn't really an object.

Well I love my DSi XL and wouldnt go back to a smaller screen. For me its much more enjoyable and the audio quality is amazing. I also no longer get hand cramps because its a bigger handheld.

If you're looking to blow money, I guess you could. Generally, you don't get much value for trading in consoles, so you'll be paying a lot more than $20 for an upgrade. I hardly think the DSi screen is too small to read, and the resolution on the XL isn't any better, it's just a bigger screen.

IMO, no it isn't. I'de prefer the DSi over the XL though, as i wan't my handheld to be small enough for my pocket. If i've got to bring a backpack for portable gaming, i may as well bring my laptop. Thats just me though

It's funny when people say "thats just me though" really meaning "Everyone else is stupid or crazy or both."

You WILL NOT be disappointed if trade in your DSi for the XL. Trust me, because all the guys say it's not worth it just have screen envy. The XL will breathe new life into your entire DS collection.

Bigger=Less portability=crappier IMO.

Nintendo could have added more stuff like built-in memory like what Sony did with the PSP Go.

I personally dont like the Dsi XL, too big. If you dont mind the big screens then go for it.

If you already own a DSi why get an XL? It's a big waste of money. It's the same as a DSi just bigger. I suggest keeping a DSi. (Unless you don't own one and you want an XL.)
