Is the Wii browser bad?

I have yet to get my Wii online. I have heard that the internet browser sucks and is quite slow and useless. Is that true?

Just wanted to know.

Not slow or useless. I'm using it now! Just wish it had better Flashtime and Copy/Paste.

No. Its really good.  not great or amazing, but really good for those quick surfs.

Well, if you're close to your comp, then just use that.  It is a good way to watch Youtube videos on your T.V. though.  Also the typing is pretty slow.

I love it actually, wish you could use a keyboard though.  I use it mostly to read guides when I'm playing my ps3 lol.  Since you can't exit the ps3 to use the internet lol, and vice versa, i use the ps3 to check guides for wii games.

I think a lot of people don't know how to configure their router to the right channels to make it work well with the Wii, so they blame the console itself for the slow connection.

The broswer definitely has it's uses. For instance, if I'm watching a DVD on my PS2, and I see a preview for something that looks cool. Pause the DVD, swtich over to the Wii, jump on Netflix, add it to my queue, and jump back to the DVD without ever leaving my bed. Very convenient!

The Wii browser is awesome, obvioulsy its not as optimal as a PC with mouse/keyboard but it does the job really well. I can wake up in the morning and surf without leaving the bed :D

It works great, especially since the release of the full version. It's not slow anymore, it actually works quite fast. Typing takes awhile, but it's good for just checking up on your favorite websites from the comfort of your couch. Being able to watch flash video on your TV is awesome as well. Oh, and I'm using it right now. I love it. :)

Mine is actually faster than my laptop at home.....don't know how....but I sometimes go on my Wii because it'll be faster....don't know where you heard it sucks....but it is a lie

The browser is quite good. I will take my laptop over the Wii browser any day of the week, but if you feel like surfing the web in bed with a screen the size of your TV, it works really really good. The full version is well worth the download, the controls works well with the Wiimote.

As long as the browser isn't better than my PCs (which is standing right beside my Wii) I really can't find a reason to use the Wii's Internet browser. The browser isn't bad, but useless? For me, yes.

Internet games are fun (Bow man!!) and the browser loads quickly. Very useful.

Well thats the million dollar question eh.  Well in my opinion, lettering is too small, and hard to read.  I have used it several times, but its not all its cracked up to be.

Its pretty nice. Although I find that youtube videos seem to load alot slower everything else is just as fast as on the pc. I'm not sure if it warrents the amount of space it takes up though.
