Soon I will be going on a car trip and might bring my Wii. I WILL NOT play any disc games in fear they will get scrached or brake in the Wii. However, do you think it will be alright if I play VC of the system, or is that to risky?

If I do so, I will hook it up to my old PSone with LCD console that I never use.

I don't see a problem with doing that. The only moving part, sans the optical drive, would be the fan.

I would say the biggest problem would be the sensor bar. it is a little it sensitive and difficult to travel if it is not safe from any heavy load that could break it

Its kinda created to be portable, seeing how small it is, compared to the 360 and ps3 anyway.

Personaly I think it's ok because I played with my 360 on a car trip and it was ok, although you could add a screen to your wii and use it like that. But its mostly up to you.

He wouldn't need the sensor bar though. The on-screen cursor can be controlled via the left analog stick on the classic controller while in your channels or home menu. (controlling the curosr like this is sluggish, but tolerable in this case)
