Which do you have? The Lite or original DS? If you have the original DS, I'd advised you to put Headphones on while playing the games. If you have the Lite, frankly the first and second setting are all I need, and again I advise headphones for use. Also, if you're using Wi-Fi or playing LAN, then you will drain the battery faster. If your battery keeps losing life, and just seems to function less, perhaps you have a bad battery, but you didn't mention that. Just use headphones, they help with the battery life a lot, and with Lithium batteries they lose charger over use. However they have like 5,000 charges as well....yoshi_64Also, just to add to it, make sure your DS is fully charged. I noticed you made a thread claiming you just got one, so if you just played it right now, it's not fully charge. Let it charge fully first. You'll know when the orange light on your DS turns off.

Yeah, don't let the odd shaped port fool you, regular headphones work fine, the extra contact points are for a headset, which I guess is coming out soon.

It's strange how far Nintendo thought ahead o_Oyes theres a way you can use the battery recharger wire to plug that in to the back of the nintendo ds, isn't it weird that you have to us a memory card in the nintendo ds that looks like a game boy advance game?.jdwollmannDSes don't require memory cards. Epic fail. Unless you're talking about flash cards but that would be against the forum rules. (and not all of em look like GBA games.. the slot 1 cards look like DS games)
I know for the "Phat" DS, they released a larger capacity battery, and I believe it was Nyko who released a "Charger Grip" for the Lite that provides and additional 8 hours of play. Things like lower sound and brightness settings also help. You could also keep it hooked up to a car lighter plug or an AC outlet if available.
