Someone will correct me if I'm missing something but aren't the files saved on the game cards/ not the DS itself? Other than the personal settings everything's on the game cards, no?mtburdellOh wow, if that's true, that's awesome news. So I wouldn't lose any of my saved game files?
All of your saved game files will still be there because they are stored on the game cartidge, not the DS. You'll have to redo all of your settings (birthday, favorite color, etc.). The only thing you will lose are all of the people on your friends list. Those are unique identifiers tied to the cartridge/DS combination. So if you play any of your DS games online, you'll need to write down all of your friends' codes to enter them into your new DS. You'll also have to give each of them your new friend code so they can put you back on their lists. It's one of the big flaws of the friend code system.DrFish62You read this topic creator?
Is there a way to transfer your saved files from DS to DS? I want to return my DS Lite and get a different one. I have a few pixels that are bugging me, but I don't want to lose my saves...

It saves on the gamecard... Thats why everyone always switches DSs like from a Phat to a Lite.
