I called my local Gamestop to ask about reversing SSBB and they said that if you reserve it you are guarenteed a copy. The guy told me that the last big title they got 2 extra copies in above how many reservations there were. I was just wondering if this is generally true at all Gamestops or if this guy is just trying to make a sale so to speak lol.

You best reserve it, at my store I got the only copy of Mario Strikers that wasn't reserved.

If you buy from game store like EB and Gamestop, yes.

But many Big Box Retailer's dont do Pre-Orders(The only game my Wal-Mart is letting People Pre-Order is the Halo 3 Legendary Pack), so your better off just going to one of them right when they open.

Just reserved BWii and Brawl. Kinda funny the guy was telling me for Supreme Commander or whatever for the PC, only 1 person reserved it so the company only sent them one copy of the game lol.

If you dont preorder and try to get it the day after it ships usually at gamestop you will either get one of the only extra or there wont be any left over (either way the guy behind the counter is going to give you a mini speech on why you should have preordered it). So if you dont preorder and want it right away just go to walmart or target or bestbuy or so on.

It's true.... Unles some freak accident happens where the truck carrying the game is like... Blown up or somthing. You've got like a 98% of getting the game at launch if you reserve it. IF you don't it varies depending on the game, but it's a slimmer chance if you don't reseve it.

It also depends on the title... there have been times that I have preorded lesser known titles because I thought they might be hard to find (like bustamove DS) but they didnt get it in when they were suppose to so I found it at Toys R Us and just canceled my preorder. This wont really happen with the bigger name games but can happen to some of your preorders.

They all say that. Sometimes, people reserve a game, and the don't have any left, Even if you reserved it. There's no loss in reserving it though, because you have a slightly better chance of getting the game.

Preorders give retailers an idea of how many copies of the game they need to order. Preordering is the best way to insure you get a game the day it comes out.

For instance, I've not only preordered Metroid Prime 3, I've also paid for it in full.
