hey guys i jsut got my wii the other day and i finished setting it up so i noticed that blue light along the disc slot was acting wierd so i got 2 questions

1. is that light suppoused to be on all the time the wii is on bc mine only comes on when im ejecting a game

2 after i turned off my wii it kept blinking did anyone eles have this

i hope its nuthin major

yes its normal to only be on when ejecting a disk... check your mail... it does that blinking thing when there is a message

kool so nuthing is broken yet lol tahnsk 4 the quick response and i got 1 more question

is it normal for the wii to get pretty warm when its off and jsut plugged in??

Yes it's fine to get warm. It just means it's working. There are some occasions when overheating has occurred but that's only because the Wii's themselves are faulty. It wouldn't fix it if you were to turn the standby off. It would eventually overheat if it was faulty anyway.

So yeah, blue light is normal and turns on if you have a message or if there is an update or something. The Wii being warm is fine as well.

kool im glad mine is fine thanks for the quick responses guys yeah im loving my wii even tho i only had it for 2 days i been spending all my time on super mario galaxy

It is the WiiConect24, hold the powerbutton pon the Wii till the power button is red

kool thanks i didnt know that i jsut been turning it off with the wiimote and the light has been yellow but now its red so i know its off =)

Yeah, WiiMote only goes to yellow unless you set WiiConnect24 off.

Although your console is probably fine it is always a good idea to perform crash tests on new systems that you buy so you will know if there is somehting wrong with it from the get-go.Try leaving it on for as many hours as possible,turn your house's main power source off while it is running a game etc.It is a very good diagnosis.
