when he charges up the blue gun, doesnt it sound like something from Metroid? (charge beam anyone?) and I know the game is only in alpha-build.

No, it doesn't, but it sounds vaguely familiar, like some sort of fine drill. Dentist perhaps?

The thing that's similar to Metroid is the puzzle they showed. From the looks of it, it's identical to the ones in MP3: Corruption for which you had to use your xray visor I think and rotate the circles to line up the gaps. Does anyone remember those?

I did the same question when I saw a The Conduit video. it really wasn`t what everybody was talking about with "best Wii graphics", it only looked like Metroid Prime 3.

Call of Duty: World at War will have an on-rails mode though. There are already a bunch of on-rails games on the already, if you're looking to play that kind of game.
