If I trade in my DS I get $70. But I don't have to buy the DSI?

Yes! They do give you $70 store credit and you have to buy a DSI. They also give you an extra $25 right now for current gen hardware. I did it for my younger brother. Traded in my DS to buy him a DSI. Since I had two. :D TechGuru89
This is a bit misleading. They give you $45.00 in trade for your DSlite and an extra 25.00 when trading in for a DSi. So $70.00 in total for the trade applied to a DSi. Your statement makes it sound like they are giving you $70.00 and then an extra $25.00 on top of that.

That's what I got....I still have the receipt to prove it. I got $70 on my DSL to my DSI and then $25 on top of the $70 because it is current gen hardware.Feh.
Until they can make an iD Software compilation for the DSi which has "Doom", "Doom II", and "Wolfenstein 3D" on it, I'll keep my DSL. No GBA port on the sucker means no way am I givin' my old one up yet. A bunch of photo manipulation and cheap, "Picto-Chat"-Like gizmos aren't going to sway me. Show me true inovation (like the DS was to the GBA SP) and I'll buy one.
Heck, make it so that DSi owners never have to deal with hacking ever again, for real, and I'd buy one... yeeeeaahhh... THAT'll happen...
[QUOTE="GameGuruDan"]Does this offer apply to the DS Phat?blooddog28no I don't think so..You'll get 50 dollars instead of 70 for a phat.
[QUOTE="GameGuruDan"]Does this offer apply to the DS Phat?blooddog28no I don't think so.. Another reason to keep my OG DS. I thought this was hysterical - "Trade-in your used 360, PS3, DS, PSP or Wii and receive $25 extra trade-in credit!"... 25$ for your PS3 or 360. Damn free market economy!

Damn free market economy! that is $25 on top of what they would normally give you for the used system...not just $25 for a ps3 or 360.
