I was hoping to get a good rpg over the summer and I thought of TOS. I really liked the first one so I don't understand why the sequel would be crap. If it is terrible/not terrible explain why. Thank u for your input.

Same here. I absolutely loved it, and I'd recommend it, but some people just don't like it. Why don't you go check out some gameplay footage, see how it suits you.
it's not "terrible" but no where near better than the first
-Original symphonia cast can't level up or equip new weapons/armor
-Emil is a wuss at the beginning and marta's annoying for a good while
-No overworld
-NO colliseum battles
-No real side quests
-A weird unison system.
-graphics are "worse". don't know why they took out the cel shading
-no real reason to get new monster except for maybe the end. other than that, the original symphonia cast in your party works fine.
-you revisit most of the places from the first game
-it doesn't have that much effort put into it because it's not a mothership title. this was mostly a spin off sequel than anything.
if you're a fan of the first, get it anyway because you'll probably enjoy the fan service and seeign the old cast again. If you're a wii owner who's starved for a JRPG, then get it as well because it's currently the best one on the wii. but considering wii doesn't have many to begin with, it's not saying much :?
if you have a 360, i'd strongly reccomend vesperia or abyss on the ps2 instead.
i loved the first one the second game isn't a good sequel but it's not a bad game well not completely
It's pretty similar to the first one I guess, you just can't walk around in a world map - it's all towns and battles. This takes away from the exploration aspect of the original a bit, but it's generally forgiveable.
vesperia is the only current tales title where you can achieve an incredible amount of combos thanks to it's broken overlimit system. It's not surprising you can only get up to 30 with one character TOSwow, GS with another ad review of a Wii game. I wouldn't mind picking up this game, ToS1 was AMAZING. Never could get a high combo count, I think my highest was like 30...but I was more all about just killing the enemy as quickly as possible.

[QUOTE="clicketyclick"]Bottom line: plenty of people have poor taste and you might be one of them, so get the game.AlexSaysThis is how I'm able to recommend Twilight Princess. Do you also use it as a pickup line? :P
