I'm currently stuck on the very last stage of EBA and some of the songs on the 2 stars difficulty are nearly impossible. How frustrating is Trauma Center comapred to EBA? I'm currently looking for DS games that have unique gameplay and Trauma Center is next on my list.

I have both of them. I think Eba is more frustrating, but Truama Center has its moments. :(

I had Trauma Center for about a week.  I hated how quickly the difficulty ramped up for some levels.  I got stuck on one and gave up, I believe the third mission after leaving the hospital, some little girl with the disease.  Guilt or something.  EBA is a lot better for me personally, I am on the last difficulty level, 4 stars on the final song.  It really depends on what you are good at and if you stick with it you get better.  To answer your question Trauma Center is more frustrating for me personally but it may not be for you so give it a try.

Omg man, I know exactly what you're talking about! I've been trying to beat that level for an hour now, so frustrating!

I haven't purchased Elite Beat Agents yet, so I have no idea how it plays, but I think the difficulty in Trauma Center lies with the touch screen...it's not as precise as I'd like it. I ran out of time on several operations trying to draw the damn circle perfectly to zoom in. I've also only made my way to the 2nd chapter...the first operation of the second chapter. Still, I find it more interesting than Ace Phoenix and from what I've seen, I won't be buying Elite Beat Agents at all.

EBA got an 8.9 here, the 6th highest rated game of all and a 9.5 over at IGN which tied for the highest rated game ever. Still, for you, I don't think you should get it or even ever play it. Stick with your gut!

EBA is definitely more frustrating than TC. I really enjoyed TC a lot more than i did EBA. When you understand how the precedures work you start to have a lot of fun trying to get all "S"'s and doing time attacks.

I found ouendan/EBA to be only moderately difficult.

Trauma centre.... now that was challenging.

I played through EBA on normal and hard in one and a half day. There was like 1-2 songs giving me some troubles.. but I would def. say that trauma center is way more difficult than EBA later on. I had so much trouble beating some of the last levels in that game.

I had that problem with the circle and I wanted to throw my system out in the snow (Trauma is the only reason I have a DS).   There is an easy solution thankfully, draw a C and it works perfectly.
