So I'm thinking of finally getting a wii and have someone near me selling me a great bundle for $130 with games.. Only problem is its the older white one and the remotes dont have Wii motion plus... Is this accessory really needed? Most of the games Ive played lately have you turning the wii remote sideways anyways.... A response would be highly helpful...

If you are thinking of getting WM+, don't.

Buy a wii remote plus instead and sell your old wiimote. That way you can utilize both non motion plus and motion plus games without any more accessory hysteria.

Next LoZ. Want that? Get wiim+
Don't want that? Then it's not really much of a necessity and i would just play with original controller first, if that bundle is better.

(If a bundle with a wii-remote-with-motion-plus-build-in is an option where you live then i would personally go for that, since chances are you will enjoy the new zelda even if it won't be perfect.)

Options for wii+: A company called nyko makes a wii motion plus mote for the same price that is the same size as the normal wiimote. But i don't think you'll need for most games unless it says on the game wii+. Otherwise the best bonus controller to buy is the classic or classic pro. The classic is very useful.

I'm pretty certain that the Wii Motion+ is just an attachment that plugs into the bottom of regular Wii Remotes. The only thing I've used it for is Wii Sports Resort and any other game I play ( mostly Mario and VC don't need it). It's probably good to have if you'll play a lot of games, but you can buy the accessory seperate if you're getting that good of a bundle deal.

They both come with a remote plus though (well the newer black and white consoles do) as that is now the standard remote. I guess it just depends on whether you want Mario or Wii Sports Resort. Both are great games though.

I think you should buy it but wait until they make more games for it. The only good ones that i know that use the motion plus are red steel 2 and wii sports resort and the new zelda coming next year. So really just wait til next year.

Yep, that's the point I was making.. it's whether you'd rather want a Red Wii w/ NSMB Wii or a Black Wii w/ Wii Sports resort, because both have Motion+

I'm assuming that Nintendo will be selling the new Zelda with Wii Motion Plus packed in, anyway.

If you plan to get Skyward Sword next year, then yes. There's also Red Steel 2. The Tiger Woods golfing game too if you're interested in that kind of thing.

I think one mtionplus is enough, but you should be picky of what games you are going to buy.

make sure you know the controle options of every game you buy.

Red Steel 2 Wii Sports Resort Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 NHL 2K10 NHL 2K11 FlingSmash Virtua Tennis 2009 Grand Slam Tennis Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage Those are the major MotionPlus games right now. If those sound like your type of games, go for it. I think it's worth it, because The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Conduit 2, and The Grinder will use it.

Consider that Wii Sports Resort is an excellent game, and there is a new Zelda (which will be excellent too) coming out somewhat soon.

So 2 excellent games for one peripheral? I think it's worth it.

Wii Sports Resort, Red Steel 2 and Tiger Woods 10 are all amazing games that use the device to a great extent. Oh, and there is that little game called Skyward Sword that will also support it.

It would be worth it if more and better software were out to support it. There are only a couple of good games that implement motion plus well. Developers need to support it more, and implement motion plus well when it's used.

yeah but, that comes with some games. sports resort would make the 130 bundle 180 and all wii owners should have it.

I have a lot of respect for Microsoft and its Kinect, because they offered something unique; a different experience in the motion gaming started and established by Nintendo. It's the correct way to offer competition and making the industry better. The Play Station Move is, as you say, a shameless rip-off.

M+ isn't necessary at the moment, I'm sure it will be bundled with Skyward Sword, so I suggest you just wait until then.
