i have 250 dollers right now and i want a new console, so ive been thinking alot about the wii obviously :) ive heard some pretty bad things about it, bad graphics, kitty games, old gen.. so could someone try to change my kind in anyway about this console? thanks, oh and by the way im not a mario fan and ive never played zelda :P

Well, while I wouldn't say it has bad graphics...but don't expect a Gears of War level graphics. Zelda, for instance, looks a bit better than GC games. Other than that...you'll have to decide if it's the right system for you. Another plus is that you can afford to buy it right now...if you can find one.

dunno about kitty games. DS has Nintendogs, maybe you're thinking of that...

anyway, to get serious, it seems you're thinking too much about the graphical power of the console. If you want a graphics powerhouse, go with 360. But Wii is capable of anything better than Gamecube. Look at some screens of SSBB for example. All of those shots are in-game, and I think they look great.
Also, if you've never played a Zelda game before, I recomend you find a Gamecube, you can get them for like £30 now, buy Zelda Twilight Princess, and see if you like it.

just one question, do you enjoy nintendo titles? and if you do,do you have a PS3 and X360? and if you do, what's your favorite game on that console?

ok ummm.. i dont like mario and never tried zelda or metroid... so i dont realy know if i enjoy nintendo titles lol do love ssb for n64 tho :) i dont have a ps3 or 360 just a ps2 and pc. my favorite games are... hitman blood money,battlefield 2, and SCDA. for pc my favorite games are oblivion, command and conquore tw, and counter strike. i dont know if thats realy answering your question :)

You have a PC? Try out some Super Nintendo versions of Zelda and Metroid on your computer (find Zelda: A Link to the Pas and Super Metroid).

Make sure that when you get a Wii you buy the games on VC though, otherwise you committed piracy. :P

oh yeah, get a X360
for Wii games though, this is what you should get or get in the future:
1. the legend of zelda twilight princess
2. Wii sports
3. the godfather
4. resident evil 4
5. resident evil: umberalla choronicles
6. hitman 2
7. super smash brothers brawl.

8. metroid prime 3

9. battalion wars

well that's it really, however if you like sports games then they work really well with the Wii, madden and SSX blur are already out and they are fantastic, future sports titles look very nice too.

i really think you should check videos of the mentioned games, read previews and see if these games will work for you, if they don't then go X360 for sure.

hitman 2 isent for wii, but anyway yeah godfather looks great, i already have res4 but id get umbrella chronicles. i supersmash brothers and battalion wars are 2 of the main resons i want a wii

sorry i meant manhunt 2 :P
you should also look for a game called no more heroes, it has a cel shaded look but has a lot of promise as well.
