Just wondering..

I just got my Wii yesterday and wondering if it is safe to leave it on stand by on a big screen t.v. It won't burn the screen will it?

presuming it's plasma or LCD, there is an option to turn on 'screen burn-in stopper' which should stop it burning in.

BTW, congratulations on getting a Wii - I've heard its been pretty hard finding them these days :)

If your Wii is on standby, there shouldn't be a video signal coming from the Wii to the TV anyway, so there would be nothing to burn in... and since there's no video signal, I don't see why your TV would be turned on anyway. There's no sense having your TV on a black screen (Unless of course, you like having your TV on for no reason...).

And if it's an LCD TV, you don't have to worry at all. They don't burn in, since there's nothing to burn.
