I sent an email to Activision and asked them to sue the guy for all he's worth. It would be great if others would do the same.

good but that won't stop him for hacking in else he gets in jail for doing something illegal and there no prove of it at this point.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETcObz6K-BQ&feature=player_embedded

I think this is a perfect example on how Nintendo needs to have a real online component to it's next console.
The Wii and it's shortcomings online give a perfect playground for things like this and no way to stop people who do it

dude, you can find Hackers on any online game.
Except I will agree with you for this matter, there doesn't seem to be as many hackers on the other 2 systems.
(PS3 is probably because of it's hardware and Xbox Live has moderators.)
dude, you can find Hackers on any online game.LegatoSkyheartDifference being hackers have much shorter life spans on other consoles. They're stopped almost immediately on other consoles, if not prevented entirely. There's nothing that can be done about them on the Wii.

I agree with you here. This is just ridiculous. Even though Conduit 2 will have online patching. But there needs to be more that can be done about stuff like this online. At least a "report" button.[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]

You do have them and they're taken care of
Because of the bare bones ability of the Wii's online system hackers just live there doing whatever they want. There's no real way to get rid of them unlike elsewhere

Conduit 2 has been confirmed to a have a patch system. So the Wii is capable of patch work. It's up to developers really. So HVS will do it first.
lol no their not, hacks run rampant on the HD consoles, its probably worst than the Wii; lets not for a second pretend that they don't. Douchbags like that ruin online play on every console, lets not troll shall we.You do have them and they're taken care of

You are absolutely disillusioned if you believe that. Having played extensively on all three online components, hacking is much more prevalent on the Wii... i've run into one hacker on the PS3 in a modnation race, and a few in Halo 3, all of them reported and never had problems. MKwii, the conduit, world at war... met hackers a LOT.
No and its very simple as to why that is the case, there a bunch more MP shooters on the HD consoles, hence hacking and glitching is more of a problem simply because of the greater opportunity for it. Not a hard concept to grasp. There are probably more people hacking MW2 on the 360 than playing The Conduit total. Its far more of an issue on the HD consoles than on the Wii, the more people playing, the greater the chance that cheating dbag will show up. FYI I never ran into a hacker on MK. Sepewrath
The difference is that you can actually report and stop the hackers on the PS3/360.

If you havent ran into a hacker on MKWii yet, you are the luckiest person alive. These are the people who have a star after you take first from them, redshell before you start, etc.

There are still ways around it.
Yeah I find it sickening to be honest :( its on all systems although I have found a couple to be pretty good at sorting it but I won't name them on a console specific board regardless. It has destroyed many an MMORPG for me in the past :( and unless Nintendo put some counter measures in their next systems online infustructure...I can't see how someone could have fun ruining the game for others, but apparently they can. :?

It'd be different if the guy could hear people pissed off over WiiSpeak - but he can't, so I don't understand, his little laughs will last like five minutes.I can't see how someone could have fun ruining the game for others, but apparently they can. :?

Coming from a guy who has spent over 10 hours online with Goldeneye (keep in mind the game has been out for less than a week), I have had zero lag and no hackers. It runs smoothly, gets you into matches quickly, and is extremely fun and addicting. It kept me up past 4 a.m. just two nights ago. This is why I'm reluctant to play online on the Wii.
It's a shame because Goldeneye Wii is a great multiplayer game. Sucks. :(

It was like that for me with The Conduit at first too (perhaps a little lag, but that was my own personal network). This game was hacked just as quickly as The Conduit was and I'm afraid the online might be ruined in two months (the amount of time The Conduit had good online).
I seem to remember you criticising The Conduit for having hackers so early. At least The Conduit allowed you to set up private matches.
Its too bad there will be no patches. At this point there is really no excuse for that as I have heard that Conduit 2 will be supporting patches. Goldeneye is just looking worse all the time.meetroid8
Yes, HVS has increased their hacker security and can remove hacker exploits with forced downloads. Hopefully, it works.
I hope Activision teaches people like Hetoan2 a lesson if he ruins online (which will no doubt kill sales).

For Goldeneye, I stayed up beyond my sleeping habits. Everything runs smoothly. The maps are great, save one or maybe two, and I've had no lag or dealt with hackers...at least so far. Two nights ago I spent over 6 hours straight online, and much more online time dating back since Wednesday. For the Conduit: I wasn't criticizing the Conduit for having hackers, I was criticizing the Conduit's hackers. I was also criticizing The Conduit for having brutal glitches such as the spawning glitch (no, that wasn't due to hacking) and for having horrible maps and for major lagging.[QUOTE="psychobrew"][QUOTE="wiifan001"] Coming from a guy who has spent over 10 hours online with Goldeneye (keep in mind the game has been out for less than a week), I have had zero lag and no hackers. My first day online, my system froze 3 times within one and a half matches (I was only able to complete one match). I was ready to shelf the game at one point because of that. I'm still having issues with sticky controls. The controls become momentarily unresponsive at times and that get frustrating especially when you are frantically trying to aim at someone. I do hope these issues work themselves out as well, but so far the online experience has been somewhat similar to The Conduit for me when concidering the amount of time the game has been released.

That does sound like a doozie, but that does not match my description of experiences of Goldeneye at all. Shelf the game? Come on you couldn't have already completed the 007 Classic mode and Time Trials on every level already :P Anyways, perhaps it is another cause: poor online strength connectivity, bad copy, or simply bad luck. If you're using a wiimote/nunchuk, that could potentially be the cause of these temporarily unresponsive controls. After all, even a little lag mixed with that could produce that annoyance. Do try again, and hopefully the results will wind much more positively. Better hurry, I hear those hacking f****** morons are going to ambush this game in a few short months, or less ;)Yeah reporting doesn't do anything, because one you cant report them all and two, they cant take every report seriously. People will report someone just because their upset they lost. Regardless, it doesn't matter what console it happens on, its ridiculous that you cant just enjoy a game without people making it their business to ruin it. That is why online gaming will never be as good as standard multiplayer. The difference is that you can actually report and stop the hackers on the PS3/360.

The freezes only happened on the second day (I didn't try multiplayer on the first day), and lots of people were having the problem. That issue seems to have worked itself out though. Wiimote/nunchuck should not become momentarily unresponsive. They don't in any other online FPS I've played. I just played a match without any hiccups and I did fairly well (12 and 6 in half a match). It's so much nicer when the Wiimote does exactly what you want it to do (some of that may be experience though -- after you've dialed in the controls and have played enough, the controls become second nature and do whatever you want them to do without thinking about it). Hopefully the control issues will work themselves out like they did in MWR, thyough I still can't ADS without movement outside of the dead zone freezing.
What a hacking little pu$$y. And can you believe the description he leaves talking about what a badass he is? "Oh look at me I have to hack to win, I'm so cool!". I liked the comments on the webpage for the video.
