Japanese Smashbros On American Wii?

Is it posible to play the japanese version of Smashbros on my american wii??

I got my hands on a japanese copy and its waiting for me at my Home... but before i open it and just shove it into my Wii i want to know if it will work.....

Unfortunately the Wii is region locked, so unless you have a Japanese Wii you won't be able to play Smash Bros.

Good news you have a copy, Bad news you cant play it on an american Wii. You have 2 options

1 option Wait till March 9

2 option get a japanense wii

Im still waiting for march 9th for the english version... but i was presented with an oppurtunity to get my hands on the japanese version so... i bought it from one of my local game/dvd/cell phone stores.... i decided i was gonna frame it but then i wanted to see if it was possible to play it... but before i ripped off the plastic and desicrated the minty condition i decided to ask someone if it worked....

How is that sad...SSB isnt really known for its great dialogue. :roll:

You can purchase something called a WiiKey that allows you to play any JP,US game on any JP,US,PAL console, if i remember correctly. Google it.brilliance1900

Which is completly illegal and shouldnt be discussed on this forum.
