Jirachi Event June 26th - july 16th! ON NOW!

according to serebii there will be an event starting this saturday that will let you download jirachi through wi-fi.

"For those of you in America, Europe and Australasia, a new WiFi event has been announced for download this week. From Saturday June 26th 2010 to July 16th, you will be able to download a Jirachi onto your Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold & SoulSilver. This Jirachi is identical to the ones given earlier this year in America and Australia and will give people access to the special Night Sky's Edge Pokéwalker course."

I know there is a pokemon sticky at the top of the forum, but not many people check there and i thought that a lot of people would want to know about this.

- When sent out into battle it will be in a cherish ball

How to obtain Jirachi

-You must have an open slot in your party
-You need to have two or fewer wonder cards
-Jirachi may only be recieved once per game card
-You must have a pokedex

Diamond, platinum and pearl games have to do a bit of work (unless you already have obtained an event pokemon via nintendo wi-fi connection. If you have, or if you have heartgold and soul silver you can skip to step 3).

Step 1

Talk to the T.V producer on the third floor of jubilife TV in jubilife city

Step 2

answer his questions with these words:

Feedback on T.V: Wi-Fi Connection

Save your game and restart your system

Step 3 (Heartgold/ Soulsilver start here)

Go to mystery gift on the main screen and select recieve gift

Step 4

Choose get via wireless (this is what the website said, but i thought you had to choos GET VIA NINTENDO WI-FI, so try both)

Step 5

Watch Jirachi arrive, and now go back into your game

Step 6

Go to any poke mart (with an empty slot!!!) and talk to the delievery man

Step 7

Save your game!

I've done a few WiFi events already but have never heard of a wonder card.

So, what is it ? :P

A Wonder Card is sent together with a Mystery Gift, and it usually provides detail for the gift the player has received. Players who have three Wonder Cards already stored in their copy of Diamond, Pearl or Platinum cannot receive a new one, and should choose to delete used Wonder Cards before receiving another Mystery Gift. Also, discarded cards can never be retrieved.

Gifts with which Wonder Cards are bundled can be received from a deliveryman who waits in any Poké Mart. If a card is deleted before the gift is received in a Poké Mart, the gift will be deleted as well.

You got it all wrong.
You can only hold 3 wonder cards at a time. When you do have 3, you need to erase one. Don't worry, nothing happens. It's just proof that you obtained the pokemon from the event. :)

EDIT: Also, you can't download the same event twice. For example, I already obtained the same Jirachi from the Gamestop event right before HG/SS's release. This means that I can not download it via Wi-Fi for my Diamond and Platinum copies. I was able to download it to my HG since I never obtained it through event, even though I have my diamond Jirachi in HG. Traded Event pokemon does not affect you from getting the same event pokemon whenever its available through mystery gift.

Same thing happened with the Pikachu Colored Pichu.
If you downloaded the Gamespot one to your Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, you can't receive the WiFi one. :|

I downloaded both on my HeartGold version I think... Or at least with the Jirachi I'm sure I did...

Probably when the movie comes out worldwide. :|
We're still a few months behind Japan when it comes to the Pokemon games, movies and events.

We still need the Mew Event from November, the Latios/Latias Enigma Stone from January, Scizor, Celebi, the shiny Entei/Suicune/Raikou, and Ash's Pikachu.
Mew will most likely be next, then the Enigma Stone, then the rest when we're close to movie release and Black/White release.

If you do not want to worry about deleting the card and losing the pokemon that came with it (or you have maxed out cards and need room for another event), follow these instructions:

- Trade the event pokemon from one game to another (this requires 2 DSs and two trade compatible game chips)

- Go to "Mystery Gift" on the game from which u traded the event pokemon

- Select "Check Card"

- "Trash" "Yes"

- From there you can trade the pokemon back no problemo.

I've deleted my Wonder Cards before and my event pokemon still stay in the game. :|

You DO NOT lose your event pokemon from deleting your Wonder Card. It's just something to prove that you obtained that pokemon already and you can not receive it again. It sometimes give you a tiny bit of information in the back of the card, but its pretty useless after getting your pokemon from the Delivery Man.
I've obtained every single event pokemon/item for Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/HeartGold/SoulSilver, and I don't even own an extra DS to trade between games. All my event pokemon are still in my storage, safe and sound.

This is nice, but I'd rather get the PCP instead. T__T

It is so easy, I did this on diamond. My sister got it because she always randomly clicks mystery gift just to check, she got it then showed me. Poof..easy level 5 jirachi. And like 2 months ago she got a shiny pichu event.
