Jump Super Stars is easily the best game on DS apart from Mario Kart. Which brings me to why the hell isn't an english version out?

For those who haven't played it, it's a Super Smash Bros type game except with popular Anime characters.

Now I have to import the Sequal Jump Ultimate Stars.

It's beacause people buy off the animes and so they become theirs so like one piece naruto and bleach belong to viz media and the dragonball series and Rurouni Kenshin belong to funimation so see people buy them off and so there is no way that this game would come out to america because the dubbing companies most likely wont to do this so the only way your ever probably going to get this game is to get it in japanese

Import them from Play-Asia and you can find translation guides online. Best game on DS.

You can get Jump Ultimate Stars from both Play-Asia.com (US$ 39.90 + shipping US$ 2.60) and YesAsia.com (US$44.99, free shipping).

As someone just mentioned the copyright considerations for the characters are apparently the reason this game won't be made into an English language version. I would get Jump Ultimate Stars though, the latest version. ---The language difference is not a major problem and you can use the walkthrough and FAQ on the JUS page for help with that. Also there's several videos on youtube including a 20 minute overview. A good part of the game is creating decks which are the teams you'll fight with. This is a little tricky, at least for me not being really an experienced gamer, but you can just go to the J Arena as it's called and start playing and get back to the deck creation part later. J Arena has several places to explore and even lets you choose and play with pre-made decks. --Also alot of the menus and headings are in English so overall it's pretty import friendly.

I didn't know the game was this good I think I'm going to import it. I want to make sure the DS isn't region locked, I don't need anything extra like the GameCube needs a freeloader right. I don't want to buy it than find out I need something to play it.

No problem there. All DS games are region free. ---By the way, when i first heard about this game and checked out that 20 minute overview on youtube I wasn't sure it looked all that great or that it would be fun. Still I went ahead and ordered it (Play Asia 39.00 plus the 2.50 shipping) ...anyway, it's really great--I don't think you'll be sorry. It is a fighting type of game so maybe check out the video to see if it suits you at all but like i said the video doesn't really show how much fun it really is.
