Did they said it got lower ratings due to the new artwork? If so, it's rather stupid. Everyone knows that the game looks too kiddish in the original game. I like the old artwork, but i certainly wont mind having artwork that makes it less kiddish. I'd give it a higher rating myself for the new art style.
This is my most anticipated game! I can't wait, and who cares if Gamespot gives it a lower score because of the art style, what's important is that you like it. Your the one playing the game.
I look forward to the fresh new art style, larger maps (hence the new zoom function), more strategy based gameplay than the predecessors, the new co system, and Wifi gameplay! I hope it has a decent story since it seems like that's what their trying to make.I plan on getting this as close to release as possible. Game on!
A bit off topic, but you're highest number of hours dedicated to a game is 90 hours? Mine is 135 on FFX and 120 on FF12:| I guess I don't have a life, right people?:P
i have never once played any of the AW's... can someone please tell me what is so appealing about this game? im really curious. i cant gather an idea from reviews, so im looking for actual player feedback on this one...

ill wait until NG DS comes out before making a bold statement like that...
anyway.. i thought AW2 fo GBA was alright but i ddintrelly like the genre... it made me feel stupid at times for always losing matches andlvls...
what i relly cant wait for is INT SYS make a new FIRE EMBLEM DS ... is therone in the works?
The change of artwork is hardly a "deprovement", in fact i think it's much better. This is more like what a war game is like. And with the addition of VoiceChat without Headset needed, trading maps on wifi, it's just great!
