People who had DS's at my school would always use pictochat to chat and junk during class if they were in seperate classes, other then stuff like that its pretty useless.
Drawing pictures of weiners to your friends during road trips. That's about it.

lol I was about to mention something like that. I remember when I first got my DS when it came out(the original one) we had a school trip and me and a few other people that had it just drew vulgar pictures/words on the DS the whole way there. Good times.
When the original DS came out me and my friends would play Pictochat Hide and Go Seek. Full connectivity bars meant you were close, low meant you were far. That's the only enjoyment I ever got out of it. Ever.
I remember when we used to have school-wide exams. They were 3 hours long, but most people finished well before the 3 hours were up. For some reason (probably because it was still middle/junior high school) they kept us for the full 3 hours. Because others may still be writing their test during this time, we could not chat or talk to others located in other testing rooms. Therefore, PictoChat was THE place to meet and set up games between all the people done their exams in different classrooms. Yeah. It's useless unless in an extremely specific circumstance such as this. Also, even if there was Wi-Fi, friendcodes render that **** null and void.

Hahaha, after the test, not during. We were spaced 1.5 meters away from all the other students but were told to occupy ourselves quietly when we had handed in our testing sheets. However, we had to stay in the room for some logistical reasons (probably don't want the noise of hundreds of students leaving early and distracting the others).
Let me tell you a story bout the point of pictochat It was december christmas was on the way I had my ds I was in 8th grade at the time I was in my last history test the last day of the year history was the first, so the teacher left and he left in charge an old lady well the old lady was supposed to not let us take out our cellphones or copy so my friend asked if we could turn over the exams she said, no cuz we might start talking "wait for the teacher she said" "play something" my friend asked if DS was good? she said go ahead, so me and other guys like 9 went into pictochat and at that moment I loved the feature, I had not study anything and I got everything, the match, the best answers, the dates, everything, there were like two chatrooms and everyone was copying and the old lady didn't suspect a thing I got an A in my test and all was good, two hours later we had a Biology test, teacher left, same old lady....can we play ds?? "Yeah...who cares...turn the volume off k sonny? And the rest is history ;) But besides that it doesn't really have much of a point well in one trip me and my brother decided to play 4 word history for two and a half hours the final story turned out to be pretty good
