After owning both the Xbox and Xbox 360 for a little over 5 years I started to get extremley tired of its typical games. And how long it would take for titles like Mass Effect and Lost Odyssey to release (ok... well maybe those were the only 2 lol).

Just browsing through the Wii's current selection of games I'm already overwhelmed at how many look so great. And most importantly I love how games on the Wii try to set itself apart from typical Xbox/PS3 games. I bought my Wii last week and I've been having a blast on it ever since!

I was getting bored with video games until i got a Wii. I had a GC and a PS2 last gen, and was bored with both. They had great games and all, but graphics dont mean much when it come to game play in my mind. So the Wii brought me back to video games, best console ive ever had, and that spans 20 years of gaming.

Welcome to the gaming revolution! It's good that you have multiple consoles because you get a taste of everything good out there. Let us know when you get Brawl and Mario Kart. :)

I don't know if you're old enough to buy it, but if you are for the love of god get Resident Evil 4, I got my Wii at launch and played it pretty steadily until I got a 360 this winter, of course I just got the red rings of death, so I started playing RE4 again, the game has so much replay value and overall value it blows me away to this day.

Plus, its not only revolutionary, its old! (in a good way)

You havent tried a taste of nostaglia until you've tried the virtual console games like ocarina of time and super mario world.

The good thing about the wii is that it can do things that would be impossible on the 360 and ps3. the typical shooter has you aiming with the analog and clicking the R button. on the wii, however, you can use the wii zapper and get the full experience, like in RE4.

the wii is new, its old, and it extremely awesome.

The novelty wears off after a month or so. I have all of the consoles, and now it seems like I don't use the Wii as much. I'm not saying it's a bad system, it's just after a while, the library of games just isn't there yet.

I know what you mean. I finally convinced my mom to let me get, and it is an amazing game.

Resident Evil 4 is the best even since playing it back on gamecube and ps2 wii is clearly the best version. They need another really good shooter for wii, maybe i should check out metroid prime?

Smash bros and Mario Galaxy are also pretty damn intense.

you should definately get metroid prime 3, it has the best controls and uses for the wii remote, plus it is a visual masterpiece

Yep, one of the main reasons I love the Wii as well. I was getting extremely bored of "next gen" meaning nothing much more than a graphical update.
